Call for Entries
The Media Arts Council (MAC) of Media, Pennsylvania, held its first Film Festival in February, 2008. Owing to its great success, we are continuing it a second year. The Call for Entries will be expanded to a larger field locally and opened to international entrants. A new venue will provide increased accessibility for larger audiences. We have set the date and are now calling for entries from local and other filmmakers.
Respecting the mission of MAC, Media and Delaware County resident directors, producers and artists will be given a special category of submission. This year the invitation is open in four classifications to other entrants as well.
Films will be accepted in five classifications: Local Filmmaker, Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, and three lengths: Feature Length (40 to 90 minutes), Short (10 to 40 minutes) and Short-Shorts (under 10 minutes).
Each entry will be reviewed and judged by at least three members of MAC and the Media Film Festival Committee, which includes artists, filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and film critics. The criteria for judging will be a standard evaluation, including the following categories: theme, writing, plot, direction, acting, cinematography and music.
This is a local and international competition for filmmakers.
